 Ian Brown CEO
Ian is an established entrepreneur and business turnaround leader operating in the technology and services sectors. He became CEO of Axell Wireless following the completion of the management buy in in January 2007 of Aerial Faclities Ltd. Ian subsequently initiated and completed the merger with Avitec AB of Sweden in July 2007 to form Axell Wireless. Prior to joining Axell Ian operated Consilium Associates a business advisory and turnaround practice. Previously he was CEO of Redstone plc, a circa £100m LSE quoted communications services provider. He became CEO in 2001 to lead the turnaround and refinancing of the company following which he lead the acquisition of a major competitor. Prior to Redstone in 1995 he formed and led a 3i backed management buy in of two companies to create Fastnet Group, a network and IT services company that was acquired by Redstone in 2000 returning 3i 10 x their original investment. His early career including key positions at 3Com and Hewlett Packard. |
 Troels Henriksen CFO
A Danish national, Troels joined Axell Wireless in August 2009. He is a Chartered Accountant, qualifying in Newcastle with PricewaterhouseCoopers back in 1989 following which he spent 2 years in their Corporate Finance team in London before completing his MBA at INSEAD in 1992. Since then Troels has acted as CFO of several Venture Capital backed businesses, both large and small, and brings with him extensive transactional and operational expertise to help us drive the business forward. |
 Rob Bruce COO
Rob has 20 years experience in the communications industry with a particular focus around sales and marketing. Prior roles included senior positions at Fastnet systems plc, Redstone plc and Azzurri Communications ltd. Rob joined the business in 2008 and has also responsibility for the group's sales operations across the EMEA region. |
 Håkan Samuelsson Founder
Håkan Samuelsson is the creator of some of the first cell enhancers in the industry more than 20 years ago. His wireless career started in Sweden in 1964. After more than 10 years in the Swedish Broadcasting Industry, he founded Avitec AB in 1984. Since then he has had various management positions in the company. Håkan is now recognised as an industry expert in both coverage solutions and wireless technology in general. In addition to leading Axell Wireless' R&D function, he is a frequent speaker at many telecom conferences worldwide. |
 Andrew Lathe Finance Director & Company Secretary
Andrew, a Chartered Accountant, joined us in 1998. He has 13 years manufacturing experience and is responsible for all aspects of the finance function and IT systems. Andrew is an experienced finance director with an international background. In addition to his core duties as finance director, he brings significant commercial direction to the business. |
 Matthew Thompson Sales Director Americas
Matthew Thompson became the Sales Director for North and South America in early 2010 responsible for increasing our market share for both public safety and carriers. Matthew is a 1993 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point where he earned his Bachelor of Science. After serving as an officer in the U.S. Army, he earned his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1999. Matthew has over 13 years of sales and marketing experience in telecommunications. His most recent role was Director of Sales for North America for the Test & Optimization Product Line within Tektronix Communications. |
 Sameer Kaul Sales Director APAC
Sameer has extensive sales and business development experience in software and telecommunication industries, spanning over ten years and 30 countries. He has a Masters degree both in Engineering and Global Business Administration. In his present position, Sameer is managing the company business for Asia-Pacific from Singapore. |
 Simon Jackson R&D Manager
Having joined AFL in 1992, Simon now leads the Company's Systems Engineering & Field Services teams. Simon has extensive experience in the mobile communications market and has continually assisted in delivering impressive international sales growth for the group. Prior to joining Axell Wireless, he gained significant RF experience with Marconi Instruments. |
 Fredrik Ekström R&D Operations Manager
Fredrik qualified in 1999 with a M Sc. in Electrical Engineering from University of Lund. Before this he was trained as an Officer in the Swedish army Ranger Regiment Reserves where he graduated as a Lieutenant in 1993 from the Officer Academy. Fredrik has 10 years experience in the telecommunication industries at various levels within research and development. During this time he worked and lived both in Europe and Asia working for international research and development companies. Fredrik joined us in 2008 and is committed to develop best in class products in time to meet our customers’ demands. |
 Tamir Ben-Shoshan R&D Operation Manager
Tamir Ben-Shoshan qualified in 1997 with M.Sc. in Material Science from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and joined Axell in 2011. Prior to joining Axell, Tamir has been working as Executive Operation Manager for several international telecommunication companies in the mobile industry. Tamir has more than 14 years of experience in the Electronics industry including rolls such as Senior Technology Engineer in Creo-Scitex (Kodak) and PowerDesign (Microsemi). |
 Ronnie Hamilton Production Director
Ronnie qualified in 1987 with a BSc (Hons) in Production Engineering and Management from Napier University and later with an MBA from the University of Edinburgh. He has 20 years of experience in Manufacturing at various levels and disciplines with 8 years in Wireless Telecommunications, latterly as the General Manager for a Romanian facility. Keeping abreast of all the best practices in Manufacturing he is dedicated to ensure that the Customer receives a Quality product on time. |
