| Axell Wireless’ digital repeater filter technology (sometimes referred to as SDR – Software Defined Radio) is the most advanced and flexible in the industry, allowing an almost infinite number of possibilities for filtering radio channels and other blocks of the RF spectrum. SDR is a collection of hardware and software technologies that enable reconfigurable system architectures for wireless communications. Traditional hardware-based radio devices limit cross-functionality and can only be modified through physical intervention. SDR enables new wireless features and capabilities to be added to existing radio systems through software upgrades rather than a hardware upgrade.
Axell Wireless' digital product portfolio is extensive and enables Axell to provide a one-stop shop service for public safety organizations and operators in the rail, metro, road, air and maritime sectors with products for both indoor and outdoor applications. Our digital repeaters support all major mobile technologies and standards for both commercial radio services and mission-critical wireless services, including 2G, 3G and 4G radio (cellular, PCS, AWS, LTE 700 and LTE 2600, for example), as well as VHF, UHF, LMR, GSM-R and TETRA communications.
All Axell Wireless’ digital products are based on SDR technology and make use of patented digital filtering techniques developed by Axell Wireless. These allow operators to make instant changes to the functionality of coverage systems via remote links within the existing hardware architecture. Axell Wireless’ digital repeaters allow the addition of new features and capabilities through software downloads thus providing flexibility, lower cost deployment and maintenance, which future proofs your capital investment.
